Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a destination wedding is an exciting journey, and naturally, it comes with many questions. Here, you’ll find answers to the questions we’re asked most often, helping you feel informed and confident every step of the way.

BOOKING
Booking Your Wedding

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend securing your wedding film as soon as your wedding date and venue are confirmed. We intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year, allowing us to dedicate the time, care, and attention required to create something truly meaningful for every couple.

Because we limit the number of celebrations we accept, our availability can change from one day to the next. A date that is available today may no longer be available tomorrow once we reach our annual capacity.

For that reason, there is no set “ideal” time to book. The best time to reserve your date is as soon as your wedding plans are confirmed and you’re ready to make them official.

How do we reserve our date?

Once we’ve confirmed our availability and you’ve selected the collection that best suits your celebration, we’ll send you the contract to review and complete. Your date is officially reserved once the contract has been signed and the required payment has been made.

Do you require a reservation payment?

Yes. To secure your wedding date, we require a 30% non-refundable retainer, together with the signed contract. Once both are completed, your date is officially reserved dedicated to your celebration.

We intentionally accept a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that every couple receives the time, attention, and creative care their film deserves. When you reserve your date, that wedding becomes part of our limited annual schedule, meaning we may decline other weddings in order to keep your date exclusively available for you.

For this reason, the 30% retainer is non-refundable once your date has been secured. The remaining balance is paid according to the terms outlined in your contract.

Can we schedule a meeting to discuss the details before booking?

Absolutely. We’re happy to schedule a conversation before you make your decision. It’s an opportunity to discuss your wedding plans, answer any questions you may have, and make sure our approach and services are the right fit for your celebration.

Destination Wedding
Destination Weddings

Do you travel throughout the Dominican Republic?

Absolutely. We proudly capture weddings throughout the Dominican Republic, from iconic resorts and coastal destinations to intimate celebrations in unique and unforgettable settings. Our main areas of coverage include Casa de Campo in La Romana, Punta Cana, and Santo Domingo, where we regularly work with couples from around the world.

Wherever your celebration takes place, we’re ready to be there to tell your story.

Do you travel internationally?

Yes, depending on availability. [Confirm whether this applies.]

Have you filmed destination weddings before?

Yes — destination weddings are our specialty. [Reinforce with real examples or figures when available.]

Are you a preferred vendor at Casa de Campo?

Yes. We are a Preferred Vendor at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, which means we have extensive experience capturing weddings and events throughout the property and are familiar with the venue’s locations, logistics, and requirements.

As a Preferred Vendor, working with us also means avoiding the additional commissions that Casa de Campo applies to external vendors. In addition, the entire booking and payment process is handled directly through Casa de Campo, making the process simple, secure, and seamless for you.

Do you have vendors you frequently work with?

Yes. Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to work alongside many talented wedding planners, photographers, florists, and other event professionals. We’ve built strong relationships with vendors we know and trust, which allows us to work together seamlessly and create a better experience for everyone involved.

If you’re looking for recommendations, we’re always happy to share some of the professionals we’ve enjoyed working with and believe could be a great fit for your celebration. Of course, you’re also welcome to work with the vendors of your choice.

Wedding Day
Your Wedding Day

Will you direct us during the day?

Our approach is primarily documentary and natural. We believe the most meaningful moments happen when you’re simply being yourselves, so we avoid heavily directing or staging your wedding day.

When appropriate, we may offer subtle guidance to help with positioning, movement, or composition, but our direction is always centered around who you are as people. We want your film to be a genuine representation of your personalities, your connection, and the way you naturally experience your day together.

Our goal is never to make you feel like you’re performing. Instead, we create the space for you to be yourselves while thoughtfully capturing those moments in a way that feels authentic, personal, and cinematic.

Do you work with photographers?

Absolutely. We collaborate closely with photographers and wedding planners to ensure everything flows naturally.

Do you work with content creators?

We’re open to working alongside content creators when their role and approach complement the work of the official photo and video team. However, we do not recommend having a content creator who is producing the same type of content as the official videographer, particularly during the key creative moments of the day.

We believe every creative professional should have the space to do their job properly. Just as you wouldn’t typically have two wedding planners directing the same celebration, we believe there should be clear boundaries when it comes to photo, video, and content creation.

During creative moments with the couple, such as portraits, preparations, or other intentionally filmed sequences, we ask that content creators respect the space and avoid recreating or interfering with the shots being created by the official photo and video team.

Our goal is always to work collaboratively and respectfully, ensuring that everyone can create their best work without competing for the same moments or compromising the couple’s experience.

Do you use drones?

Yes. We offer aerial cinematography as an additional experience for couples who want to showcase their wedding destination from a different perspective.

For couples who choose to pay for the service in full at the time of booking, we also include a limited amount of aerial footage at no additional cost. This consists primarily of establishing shots of the wedding venue and surrounding location, rather than dedicated drone coverage throughout the day. It’s ideal for couples who simply want an aerial perspective of their wedding destination without adding the full aerial cinematography experience to their collection.

This complimentary limited drone coverage does not apply to weddings at Casa de Campo.

Do you eat at the wedding?

Yes. Providing a meal for our team is a requirement for weddings where we provide full-day coverage. We ask that our team be included either in the staff meal or the wedding reception meal, depending on the arrangements made by the venue or catering team.

Ideally, our meal should be served while the couple is having dinner. This allows us to take a brief break without missing any important moments involving you, while ensuring we’re ready to continue capturing the celebration as soon as you are finished.

We coordinate the timing with your wedding planner or catering team so everything fits naturally into the flow of the day and does not affect your coverage.

What happens if a guest or another person interferes with an important shot?

We understand that weddings are dynamic and that unexpected things can happen. When a moment is important to the story, our team will do our best to anticipate and manage the situation discreetly, without disrupting the flow of the celebration.

Our experience allows us to work around guests, photographers, content creators, and other vendors while protecting the moments we’re there to capture. When necessary, we may politely ask someone to move or give us a little space, always with respect and without taking attention away from the couple.

Our priority is to preserve the moment as naturally as possible while ensuring that the final film reflects it beautifully.

Working w/ feedad
Working with FeedAD

What makes FeedAD different?

We believe your wedding is meant to be lived and enjoyed by you and your guests, not organized around getting the perfect photos or videos. The wedding always comes first; photography and filmmaking should follow.

We adapt to the rhythm of your celebration rather than asking your celebration to adapt to us. We never want to become the focus of the day or interrupt the natural flow of your wedding simply to create a shot.

Our approach is discreet, intentional, and centered not only on you as a couple, but also on the people who are there to celebrate with you. We pay close attention to your guests—their reactions, emotions, laughter, connections, and the spontaneous moments that often become some of the most meaningful memories of the day.

We’re there to anticipate those moments and preserve them without taking you or your guests away from the experience. We go with the wedding—the wedding doesn’t go with us.

How do you make sure our film feels personal to us?

Every couple has a story of their own, and our goal is to create a film that reflects who you are rather than following a formula. Before your wedding, we take the time to learn about your personalities, your relationship, your priorities, and the way you envision your celebration.

We also pay close attention to the people, atmosphere, and small details that make your wedding uniquely yours. From the way you interact with each other to the energy of your guests, these elements help shape the story we tell.

Our approach is never to create the same film for every couple. We let your personality, your celebration, and the way your day naturally unfolds guide the creative process, resulting in a film that feels authentic, personal, and unmistakably yours.

What do you need from us before the wedding?

Before your wedding, we’ll share a short questionnaire designed to help us get to know you better. It gives us insight into your story, your personalities, the people who matter most to you, and the moments you’re especially looking forward to.

This information serves as a guide rather than a strict checklist. It helps us understand what matters to you so we can approach your wedding with greater intention and be more aware of the moments that are meaningful to you.

Beyond the questionnaire, we’re always happy to hear anything else you feel could help us understand your celebration and what you want your film to feel like.

Can we choose the style of our wedding film?

Absolutely. We actually prefer to know before the wedding what kind of film you envision. Every couple connects with different styles, whether you’re drawn to something cinematic and romantic, slow and emotional, candid and spontaneous, dramatic and energetic, or a combination of different styles.

We encourage you to share your preferences, references, or even specific films that you love. This gives us a clear creative direction and helps us understand how you want your wedding day to feel when you watch it back.

While your preferences guide us, we always allow the story, the emotions, and the natural energy of your celebration to shape the final film. Our goal is to create something that feels authentically yours while maintaining the cinematic quality and creative approach of FeedAD.

Do you edit the films yourselves?

Yes. Every film is carefully edited in-house by our team, and we personally oversee the creative process from start to finish. This is also why we intentionally accept a limited number of weddings each year, allowing us to maintain the highest level of consistency and quality across every film we create.

When will we receive our film?

Our maximum delivery time is 60 days for short films and 100 days for documentary films. These are the longest turnaround times we allow, although we often deliver sooner. Delivery times may vary depending on the season and the volume of weddings we are working on at the time.

How will we receive our wedding film?

Your wedding films are delivered digitally through a private online gallery, created exclusively for you. From there, you can easily watch and share your films with family and friends from any device.

Your gallery serves as a personal home for your wedding films, allowing you to revisit your memories whenever you want and share them with the people who were part of your celebration.

Can we request changes to our wedding film?

Absolutely. We’re happy to receive your feedback once you’ve had the opportunity to watch your film. If you would like to request any changes, we ask that you send all of your feedback together in a single message. This allows us to review everything as a whole, determine which adjustments are possible, and make sure that any changes work cohesively within the film without affecting its overall flow, storytelling, or creative direction.

Once we’ve reviewed your feedback, we’ll let you know which adjustments can be made and how they can best be incorporated into the final film. Our goal is always to make sure you feel connected to the final result while preserving the integrity and cinematic quality of the film.

Do you provide the raw footage?

Raw footage is not delivered as part of our service. We believe the value of our work goes beyond capturing the footage—it lies in how we select, shape, and edit those moments into a cohesive and meaningful film.

For this reason, the original footage remains part of our production archive and is not provided separately. If you would like any additional edits, films, or content created from the footage, these must be produced by our team. This allows us to maintain the creative direction, quality, and consistency of everything we deliver.

Will you always have our final films available?

We have established backup procedures to protect your footage throughout the production and editing process. Once your films have been delivered, we recommend downloading and keeping your own copies, as we are not responsible for any subsequent loss.

If you ever need your films again, you’re welcome to contact us and we’ll check whether they are still available in our archive. Whenever possible, we’ll be happy to provide another copy, although we cannot guarantee indefinite availability.

If files are lost or damaged before delivery due to circumstances within or beyond our control, including technical failure, theft, or natural disasters, our responsibility is limited to the corresponding fees paid for the affected material.
